The Grand Opening of the National Institute of Plantation Management’s New Building

Along with the project of developing the National Institute of Plantation Management as an independent degree awarding university, the infrastructure of the institute has been developed and the new four-storey research and development unit and lecture halls built in the National Institute of Plantation Management with the aim of developing the knowledge, skills and attitudes of the human resources in the field of plantations. The complex was auspiciously opened on 14.05.2024 under the chairmanship of Hon’ble President Ranil Wickramasinghe with the participation of Hon’ble Ministers.

It is planned to establish research laboratories, modern lecture halls, computer laboratories and professional counseling centers required for the studies of undergraduate students and a center for using AI and GIS technology is also expected to be established in this four-storey building.
